JavaFX
- More JavaFX source code was open sourced this week, including the JavaFX/Swing and JavaFX/SWT classes, Decora, and javafx-beans (beans/bindings/collections).
- JavaFX Scene Builder 1.1 developer preview b20 is now available for download.
- Scenic View 8.0.0 developer preview 1 was made available this week. This is the first developer preview for JavaFX 8.0 - consider it a very early alpha release! Please leave feedback on the blog post for any issues you're encountering.
- Gerrit Grunwald has two posts this week. Firstly, he has a post about creating native packages using IntelliJ. Secondly, he has created a gauge using just one class (for memory efficiency and to more easily deploy to embedded devices).
- Speaking of Gerrit, he also presented at Jfokus recently on embedded JavaFX. His slide deck is now available online as a PDF.
- Robert Ladstätter also has two posts this week. Firstly he continues to refine his tree visualisation code to make the trees more realistic and have leaves. Secondly, he has developed a version of Conways Game of Life in ScalaFX, using only 140 lines of code.
- Angela Caicedo has blogged about managing multiple screens in JavaFX (in a single stage).
- Jim Connors has released the source code for the JavaFX/Raspberry Pi scoreboard project he blogged about recently.
- Tim Yates has ported the Canoo JavaFX abacus tutorial to GroovyFX.
- Sébastien Bordes has blogged about how to build a JRebirth presentation.
- Christoph Burmeister has created a maven build for his JavaFX image exif project.

- Karl Schaefer has announced the release of SwingX 1.6.5. This release includes a number of bug fixes as well as a few improvements.
- Jean-François Poilpret has announced the release of DesignGridLayout 1.10.
